Yea...

I see your point of view.

Completely unrealistic. I admit to being a touch-a-phobe but that feeling of touch is critical to a functional relationship.

Realistic in 1588.

Seriously, though. I don't think that has ever been realistic.

It's simple, boys touch boys and girls touch girls.

Yes, I saw Footloose when it came out. I was a teenager back then.

However, I was not like the preachers daughter in that movie.

I was the opposite.

That's nothing. When I was a very young kid I was obsessed with 007 films, and I tried to emulate the hero.

I always chuckle when I think of the movie Octopussy.

[not one, not two, eight...!!]

He has two daughters in their early twenties. Neither of them are dating.

Is it realistic or unrealistic to expect a young adult in their twenties to literally keep their hands to themselves while dating someone and to expect the same from their date?

How would the majority of adults their age react and or feel about this behavior?

Is a connection developed by acting this way?
Yes, I believe it is totally realistic. If someone respects you they also respect your boundaries. If a young man cannot keep his hands to himself, then he does not respect the girl he is dating. It's as simple as that.

As for the girls, they should be taught to respect themselves enough to not be sluts.

I mean, COME ON. We're not freaking animals in the jungle. We do have the capability to control our behavior when it comes to mating rituals. All we have to do is want to.

I agree with you but the problem here is the pastor is setting boundaries for others.

[he's probably jealous]
