This! I was going to ask, why would you keep going to a church like that? If he's going to talk about that stuff, he should think it through better, and make his talk more nuanced, along the lines of some of the suggestions here. Otherwise, it's not helpful. It could turn people off.
Last Sunday at the church that my husband and I go to the pastor mentioned during worship that young males and females *he did not mention the age range* who are dating need to keep their hands to themselves and to set boundaries regarding appropriate dating behavior.
He did not mention what he meant by keep your hands to yourself.
He has two daughters in their early twenties. Neither of them are dating.
Is it realistic or unrealistic to expect a young adult in their twenties to literally keep their hands to themselves while dating someone and to expect the same from their date?
How would the majority of adults their age react and or feel about this behavior?
Is a connection developed by acting this way?
Yes, I believe it is totally realistic. If someone respects you they also respect your boundaries. If a young man cannot keep his hands to himself, then he does not respect the girl he is dating. It's as simple as that.
As for the girls, they should be taught to respect themselves enough to not be sluts.
I mean, COME ON. We're not freaking animals in the jungle. We do have the capability to control our behavior when it comes to mating rituals. All we have to do is want to.

I agree with you but the problem here is the pastor is setting boundaries for others.
[he's probably jealous]
