If a woman that you know likes you mailed you a birthday card or even a small gift, but you knew you hadn't given her your address? Or would you be flattered that she'd gone to the trouble of tracking it down? Just curious.

If it were me, then I'd be concerned with her resources since I make it a job to stay private and I don't even have a mailbox, or a true address. Now anyone else might be flattered, that she cared enough to do a little homework....or creeped out as you mentioned.

Woman to woman, that's some psycho stuff right there. It's also pretty cowardly. If you like a guy and want to give him a card for his birthday, just give it to him in person.

Or if you really want to mail it, even if you know his address, just say to him, "hey, I want to mail you a card... what's your address?"

Reason: Had to fix typo... wrote Of instead of Or for the first word and it was driving me nuts. :p
No.
It's so damn easy to find addresses today. I get cards all the time from friends who I've lost contact of through the years and I've moved countries.

Honestly, I would probably have both of these reactions.
That said, in such a situation, I would probably talk to her about this afterwards, thank her for what she did, and then very politely ask her to ask me about this kind of stuff (such as giving me cards/gifts or sharing my address with her) rather than making unilateral moves in regards to this in the future.

Ah, Yes, I remember back when I was in ninth grade (in early 2007), this one friend of mine somehow found my home phone number and called me at around midnight (Yes, midnight). After my dad answered the phone and told him that I was already asleep, he was apparently surprised that I was aready asleep so early.
As hard as this might be to believe, this is actually a true story which indeed occurred/happend to me.
