Met her. April E., in Sep '82 -- booth boozed up. Last dance that nite was this & we bigtime clicked... for 4 yrs there after ahem, as Sep '86 divorce was final via her Army lawyer
Sad n nostalgic only as far as memroies of what coulda/shoulda been good -- but.. went awry. Youngins aka rookies in relationships out there take heed; the clocks ticks on you -- & ur guy/lady -- so make most of it lest u end up pining or ?'ing what may have been.
Aww, TY, Jerz but no need sympathy. Been yrs ago & many ladies have come n gone. I think its just me, unsettled even over 50 yo & thus comes w/ the turf. If I was eccentric millionaire (I ain't hehee) then I've have more probs. But anyways, just heard some tunes this wkend & reminds me of back in da day. That is all. No biggie. Tough times do not last -- only tough guys do, lol
Is she remarried? If not, why not see what she's up to. You're not relationship rookies anymore, perhaps you've both grown to where, if the attraction still clicks, it could work the second time around. The second time around sure did work for me. You never know, and besides, what is there to lose by trying?
My wife and I saw Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers live 3 times.. When he passed we both were very sad and listened to his live albums for a weekend. I wouldn't call it our "theme" just who we happened to see most live.
He came to SPAC almost every year at the end of track season!

I feel bad for you because a Heatwave song made you nostalgic for someone from 32 years ago that should have been a distant memory.
No other women give you a better memory from the last 32 years at all?
On an off note, Im still amazed that even though Johnnie Wilder Jr.s building lead vocal at the end of that song was off pitch a bunch of times, it isnt an issue because the song is still great. Especially because of the buildup at the end....Classic.
