So ladies would you ever date a muslim? Assuming he was a liberal and non religious? Would you be suspicious if a muslim told you he was non religious, thinking he was just trying to get with you? Do you know anybody who has dated or married a muslim? How did it turn out?

Well I'm confused. If he isn't religious you are talking about muslim culture instead of muslim religion? Yet you say he is a liberal. So has he given up his muslim culture or what?

This is why I don't disclose this information ever because it is only my own business. I am not very religious anyway but have my own view of faith. Like I mentioned in another thread most of my girlfriends didn't know or they made assumptions of their own. It didn't matter to them when they found out, its something that is personal to me.

I really hate when people start talking religion or any other nonsense in public wish everyone would keep it themselves. Including atheists that like to bash everyone, I see them as no different either.

I grew up in India, with a variety of religions including Islam. People who are born to Muslim parents will usually call themselves Muslims no matter how religious they are, even non-religious, and even if they feel at home in a culture that's different from how they were born.

So let's say, a guy born in Morocco comes to the USA at a young age and grows up blending in with your idea of "all American" kids, and identifies with them. He will probably still call himself Muslim even if he doesn't seem to "act Muslim".

Thanks for the info! I didn't realize that.

I think OP is asking this for himself.

//www.city-data.com/forum/relat...d-hook-up.html

And taking that into consideration, OP don't worry about the poll results. When it comes down to it, it will be irrelevant. And people will disagree here but as you know people say one thing yet do the other.

Not to mention the fact that most people have been brainwashed into having misconceptions. That's why the results are so skewed.

A Muslim equivalent of the American "cafeteria Christian" would probably be fine. Most people in the U.S. identify as Christian, but a lot of them don't attend church or really follow the Bible.
