I can only recall one time that I really was depressed, and it was after mom had passed.

After she passed, I tried to work 7 days a week trying to get 70 hours or more in, so I could stop thinking about it. If I wasn't at work, and my employer literally forcing me to stay home on Sundays or sometimes the weekends, I'd go be with as many friends as I could, which could mean 4 friends going someplace, or 50 friends crammed in a house in the middle of nowhere, and I invited most of them.

Those nights were pretty insane, which was exactly what I needed at the time.

I think a lot of people turn to food when they're depressed, or stressed.

stressed spelled backwards = desserts

I wish this thread dies because right now I am thinking about an awesome new tasty idea. How about milk chocolate melted on peanut butter covered pretzels.

Oh god any woman that will make me this is a keeper in my books. LOL I am starving now! DAMN YOU PEOPLE!

He doesn't really talk about it but I can tell he's depressed (understandably so) and visit him now and then as well as go out for coffee. Since his divorce started every time I have gone over to see him he has had an empty tub of ice cream and if we are out I constantly see him pull out and eat multiple king sized hershey chocolate bars. When I opened his fridge to get a drink he had 2 large tubs of ice cream as well, and this is someone who I've known for 5 years and rarely see him eat ice cream/chocolate.

The other day we went out to eat and of course he was down but after dinner he ordered this huge chocolate cake and ate the whole thing, he rarely gets dessert as well.

Is this kind of thing as common for men as women? Just really curious.
no. i rely on video games, coffee, and mild psychotropics.
