Well, I won't argue with you there as it's been my experience. But I still have hope. I personally know of men online (real life friends or acquaintances ) who are online dating and they are sincere. Like I said, you have to kiss a lot of frogs... I don't like it, it hasn't been a successful tool for me yet, but it's not the only thing I try or the only tool I use.
You know, in another thread, one of the men here pointed out I choose the "wrong men." The one man I met and dated (offline) for a few months a couple of months ago was all wrong for me. Could be my problem with online too.
Have you tried E-harmony? I think they weed out people who are dysfunctional as part of their test? I know a 55 year old woman who is currently engaged to someone she met on E-harmony.
In all reality, there is a HUGE difference between the paid vs free sites. You get more quality/serious people on the paid sites in my opinion.
I've never had anyone complain about match.com or eharmony. The other sites...yea, because they are blah.
I didn't like Match.com or EH. Definitely lots of fake profiles and non-active members. I'll take my chances with OkCupid and Tinder, but I'm currently on an online dating break. I'm starting to miss it though so I might be addicted.

All the men I met on E-harmony... every single man that was a date or asked me on a date... was married. Well, there was one guy who didn't want me to ever call him. He said it was a "guy thing" that men like to call--I didn't know about him for sure, but it seemed fishy. I think they like it because their wives can't "search" for them (it assigns you matches).
Match was the best one I was on. I might try it again at some point.
Maybe you're right about that. I didn't think about it like that. I think I'm younger than you and I'm still in the phase of going out with co workers to dinners and happy hours, sporting events, sports bar, pool parties, birthday parties. Also people at my job don't seem to mind dating co-workers.
I work with 12 people, lol. It would get a bit weird if we started dating each other (especially considering only the women are single... except for that one 20-something-year-old guy I mentioned).
I do stuff like that with my friends too. Superbowl parties, we get together every couple of weeks to have lunch and goof off, pool parties, scuba diving trips, camping, etc. But like I said, most are married. So I am the "weird" single one.
Idk if it's a waste-
I met 2 couples in a row who met online....
And another client of mine is
really on me about creating an
online profile.
The pressure is on
I'm not sure which is the best site,
as I'd be totally new to online dating.
Ugh- sounds like work, lol
I met my bf on Match. We've been together almost 3 years and plan to get married next fall.....worked for us.
