It's all the same. Imagine being on a first date and she needs to buy something for whatever reason. What's she going to do, ask the guy to buy it for her? lol
It's definitely a sign of low class.
However, I don't think the OP shows any signs of being classless.. quite the opposite in my opinion.
I'm sure the guy will pick up the tab, she should borrow 10 or 20 bucks from a friend and if she doesnt need any of it just give it back. I wouldn't try to postpone until 4/25.. that's a long time
Or telling him the truth, "I am low on cash" see what happens.
Telling a guy you just met that you're low on cash is a bad idea because he'll think that she'll be asking him to help out with her bills soon. A guy I met online told me that a girl asked him to pay her cell phone bill after just one date.

McDonalds is totally gross. Won't eat there. Been forced to a couple of times when being on the road (Drive throughs) in the middle of no where and it makes me sick everytime. Never again.

not like she will be asking him to pay for a bill just tell him "I am low on cash, can we postpone the date to -4 25" I don't know about you guys, but If I hear that, I'd understand it.

Yeah, it really gives off bad vibes. Most guys don't mind paying the tab, but 99% of guys don't want to feel like they're going out with someone because that person is so broke they're just looking for a free meal.
No, you're fine. I don't recommend fast food joints for first dates even if it is Panda Express. But if there was one really close by, I'd still prefer that over Starbucks.

I think he's kidding about McDonalds. I thought Panda Express was an airport only thing.
And Ruth, be careful who you say that too.
