Anything fun, light and breezy. Talking about positive and pleasant things, usually leads to your date associating you with those feelings/emotions. For myself, I love photography and love to travel, so talking about best place to travel to, favorite vacation spots etc etc is always well received. Stay away from negativity, complaining, talking about exes, politics, religion and even sex. As a rule of thumb anyway.
Things that interest the person and I at that time.I talk about the crazy happenings, sports, weather, news, food, art, my job, his job, places of interest, and fun activities to do.Fairs, cookouts, beach, etc.
Remembering back (I'm married, now, so I don't do first dates anymore, but have done lots of them), anything that comes up organically, really. I never walked in with a script. The ultimate litmus test for me was if unscripted conversation could flow easily from topic to topic...then I knew it was worth another date. If it was awkward and inorganic, then, nah, not a good fit. Being at ease and glib enough to just let things flow was always a key point of compatibility for me. My first date with my now-husband? It was supposed to be a cup of coffee in a local coffee shop. That cup of coffee lasted for five hours and they closed the cafe on us. We discussed everything from dogs to online dating to inner-city teaching to episodes of Firefly to Martin Luther. We probably would have left the cafe and walked around the plaza and continued our conversation, but it was snowing heavily.
Well, I would make sure they know that I only want to date a man with class (= $$$).
And that if he has kids already, I don't want nothing to do with them. Ever. It would just confuse that kid anyway.
Then I will tell him why my previous relationships didn't work out and that I moved on just recently by not visiting my exes in prison anymore.
I will let him know that I will not date multiple people and that I expect the same from him. So if he has ANY females around him, he needs to cut contact with them immediately. In fact, I want proof and he needs to delete their numbers while I am watching him do it. I won't trust no guy that I just met, so better be sure.
Since I am a clean woman, I will show him my STD test result sheet because men are always so judmental and think, that ex strippers are all dirty. WRONG!
Religion and politics are important, so I would make sure we are on the same page there also.
