Why do you care so much about getting married? And why are you keeping score as to what your ex is doing?
Serious questions.
Because the grass is greener in the pasture on the other side of the fence, until you get over there and realize the grass you were on before suddenly looks so much greener than what you're standing on now.
It's a psychological problem that leads to a physical one- i.e. if you're afraid that penetration will be painful, when you attempt penetration, you won't be relaxed and your muscles will tense up, so it WILL end up being painful or it just won't go in at all. The point of the dilators is to gradually train your mind and body to accept penetration without pain and fear. I understand that needing anesthesia to be penetrated sounds crazy, but it's that daunting of a thing for me. I've taken sedatives to get through gyn exams before and they weren't helpful, so I'd be happy to be knocked out and just wake up with the thing in there. lol
Also, the facility that specializes in this treatment is located in New Hampshire, not New York.

Doesn't really sound crazy. I would imagine the mind and body are reacting not much differently then being dropped out of plane where you involuntarely tense/freeze up?
This isn't something you deal with when you get a BF, this is something to be done before you start dating.
When you can bring the healthiest, happiest, most functional you to the table.

Or on a less dramatic scale, when something is coming toward your eye and you involuntarily blink. It's like a vaginal flinch.
How exactly did the thread go from being a "vent" to talking about your flinching vagina?
Because apparently all my dating problems are a result of my vaginismus, so it always gets brought up in my threads. lol I think it's been a positive discussion though for the most part, so it's ok.

I would say the bolded is probably close to true. It may not be the source of all the problems, but it's definitely what is keeping you from being successful in obtaining a romantic partner.
