Oh, I smell BS. If you just wanted to be left alone, you wouldn't be hanging out on a Relationships message board. So you're lying to us and, most of all, to yourself.
And the "I deserve to be left alone" just reeks of self-pity.
People always make assumptions and are always wrong except me. Believe what you want doesn't mean anything to me.

Please. He never said it was a synonym, but yes, when I say "I deserve love" or "I deserve happiness", or "I deserve" anything it effectively is self pity. Yes.

And even moreso the above... and if what others think and believe don't mean anything to you, you wouldn't be reaching out and posting on a public forum... or any forum.
So if I said I deserved a better childhood thats self-pity even though I was abused verbally and physically?
Depends on how you say it. Example "I deserve a better childhood and I realized that been abused is never my fault. I deserve to be loved." This is not self pity
However, "I have been abused when I was a child, I deserve all the happiness in the world, and how come nobody wants to date an abused man? Life is not fair." This is self pity. It gets old very quickly.

1) Yes
2) Yes
3) This makes zero sense. You're shunning yourself? You post on a forum for advice and discussion on topics on matters of which you don't want advice or want discussion regarding?
4) Nope, makes no sense. Very transparent. If you can't be honest with yourself, you do indeed have a long way to go.
