This this this. I distinctly remember being told quite often when I was younger that women would notice/pay attention to things like nice shoes, etc. As I got older, I realized that 99% of them don't notice and can't tell the difference anyway.

I just look to make sure he is wearing shoes. And teef.
That term gets thrown around a lot, but isn't well used. 100k combined is well well into middle class. Of course the dollar amounts vary per region, but I'm willing to be your 29k is well into middle class as well... as a single earner, perhaps not a household. In economic terms the middle class is the middle three quintiles. The bottom 20% is the lower class, the top 20% is the upper class, and the 20-80% is the middle class. You, at 29k (which is what gross?) are well into middle class for the country. >100k is actually, for the entire country, in the top 20% as of 2010 census.
Of course locations matter, but that is the U.S. as a whole.
Well 29k take home is not a lot of money but like i said retail is a dead end job I need more then that. I cant even buy i house I do not make enough to buy a house near work.
Also it limits the woman I can date i cant date woman the make 2x as me it will never work.

Who buys a house when they're in school, with years of college ahead of them? You're thinking irrationally. Stay focussed on your job and your studies.
Besides, the days of homeownership as one cornerstone of the US economy, anchoring the middle class, are pretty well over. You missed the boat.
