You seem to need the whole song and dance to get in the mood. Nothing wrong with that.
We don't text during the day. My phone is off because I'm working (novel concept, I know) and the only way to get in contact with me is to call and leave a message. After work we're both busy, and then there's dinner and kids, and chores and more work...
We are on the same page typically, so there is no need for flowers, candy, lengthy efforts...etc.
And for the record, all my husband has to do is slap my ass or pull me by my belt loops as well. If I'm not exhausted I'm all for it

Yeah, I can get in the mood with the whole song and dance but also a quickie when we are both feeling like it is fine. There will be times where we will have a dinner ready with candles and what not or a nice walk on the beach at night and so on to prepare the mood and other times where we will just wake up and go at it. Like to keep it varied.
Well ... when I WAS married, surprising me by sneaking into the shower with me on a weekend morning was pretty special. A soft caress here or there, while I was sleeping would always get her full * attention*as she knew I loved wake up sex.
