i'm dating for about 5 months, we live in different cities but manage to be together..he was very sweet and attentive in the begining, but now i feel he is more absent. i confronted him. he said he needs his own space and time, for me not to worry cause he will always fulfill my needs. i know i don't smother him.. besides the typical phone calls and sms, we usually chat a bit on fb, at night...but he also said how he hates jealousy and insecurities. so, with this on mind, today i haven't had the guts to call him or send him any sms, neither do him. i don't want to sound insecure or needy! how do i manage the contact in my relationship? i can be a whole day without talking. is it good, not to bore things also? or should i make a stronger presence in his life? by sending a msg or calling directly, without waiting for fb at night?

It sounds like you have reached the end of the honeymoon phase -- or he has, anyway . Now he is in the phase that follows, where people want more space and they re-evaluate whether the re;ationship is actually working for them.
