My sister is throwing a hissy fit because her fiance wants to have a low key affair. Personally I would like to elope when that time comes because it is cheaper and less drama. Ladies how would you feel about not having a huge wedding?

not having a huge wedding doesn't have to mean eloping either. eloping usually indicates running off somewhere and then coming back telling loved ones you got married. No thanks.

I'd be ok with not having a huge wedding. I wouldn't want to do the whole courthouse or Las Vegas chapel thing, but I'd be ok with something small.

oh. well there's nothing wrong at all with low key weddings. i think big huge weddings are impersonal and people do it to get more gifts and make a drama. you don't need everyone you ever met at a wedding.

I always wanted a small ceremony at night underneath the moonlight and stars. Something more symbolic, besides the courthouse. And, nothing too extravagant cus I'm lazy.

Oh, I'd elope in a heartbeat and I know exactly where I'd do it too.

And to top that off I'd use my grandparent's simple gold bands..

I probably will never have a wedding. But if I did, I wouldn't want a big one. It's a 1 time affair, so I see no point in going bankrupt to make it as gaudy as possible.

I would like a small one. My brother is having a big one, and everyone makes such a big deal about the place, how pretty it is, and how it's from the 19th Century.

So, I would probably have a big to not be too outdone by him. But on the off chance all my family is dead by the time I get married, which I am leaning toward, then I would go with small being my natural choice. As the main thing to have is the SO lol

Nothing wrong with it. I have no interest in a huge wedding. That sounds like a waste of money and an even bigger waste of my time with planning.
