I hate it when old, ugly, scraggly men gawk at me. I can be pumping gas, minding my own business and some old geezer will be grinnin' and skinnin' and when I try to ignore him, he will yell, "how ya doing?". Ugh.
For men and women: Have you ever gotten unwanted attention to the point where it made you feel uncomfortable, whether you're married, in a LTR, single and not looking, just shy and not the flirty type or just uninterested because they weren't your type? If someone is giving you unwanted attention, how do you discourage them?
First you tell that person that you do not welcome his advances and to back away from you before action is taken. Then if he persists, do your best to ignore him. Also, document every attempt he makes to contact you. Then use it to get help. (These are for worst case scenarios.
Yes, I have and do deal with unwanted attention. However, the reasons the attention is unwanted are different. There are times when I feel like I need to be left alone so that I can make sense of some issue. There are other times when the person is just a creep. In most cases, I only deal with them once or twice.
However, most people I deal with are harmless and they are not ill intentioned.
Although I am single, I am seriously interested in someone, to the point that I feel bad or awkward if I try to talk to anyone else who isn't someone I've already friendzoned.
It sucks because I've mentioned this to a couple girls, but they STILL come after me asking me if I want to hang out, this and that. I deflect an answer but they still don't get it.
It's true that some women just like the challenge of seeing if they can get what they can't have.
