I don't believe in marriage myself; but I'd go with the MOMMA comment. If I'm not happy, no one in my house will be either.

It's MY house and I make the rules.

This phase in the timeline of humanity where materialism rules is making a lot of people miserable.
I'm always hearing people saying that they wish we could go back to the simpler times when life wasn't so much about how money you had or didn't have.
But, we humans have brains that seek stimulation and adventure and that is what keeps us from staying home on the front porch and being content with what we see going on and by.
Or as the great philosopher Sheryl Crow sings: "It's not having what you want, It's wanting what you've got."

And for the record (and to keep an old thread fumbling along), if my wife is happy I'm usually happy as well. But it's not always true going the other way and so I'm willing to range a bit further than I otherwise would want to in order to have calm in the home.

I voted none of the above, although all of the above could also apply I guess. I've never bought into the "happy wife, happy life". That kind of implies her happiness is more important than the husbands. BOTH people should be happy, and nobody should be put on a pedestal.

This. I find it interesting how prevalent the "happy wife/happy life" saying is, but nothing is said of a husband's happiness.

COOK IT YOURSELF.
It was a joke. But in all seriousness I'm not marrying anyone who won't cook for me.

As a married man I would say either everyone is happy, or nobody is happy.

Why?

I want to be happy and I want my wife to be happy. She feels the same. So if one of us isn't happy the other isn't either.

Beyond just that, our general mood really affects each other. If either of us is positive it can raise up the other, and if either of us is negative it has a tendency to bring the other down.

Happy coupe, happy home.
