Many times on here it's been suggested that men should just go to the backpage or get a hooker. Is it okay then for single women to seek out male escorts for the same thing? Is it as easy? I can't say I haven't considered this option in the past since I can't meet 'regular' men any other ways.

But, what you see as complaining is a bit of venting. Some do that, and it helps a bit. They may get advice, or meet someone that has gone through the same thing, and can talk to others about it.
You started a thread about your little pet dying. What good is that? Did you want someone to tell you he'd live? No. But you were upset and wanted to vent, even though when you get offline, the pet will still be dying, or dead. So being online to complain and whine about it doesn't help. Ok, it's dying. I could simply say "things die, stop whining and move on." Or, go to the store and buy another pet, and start over. No need for a thread to tell you that.
And, if it didn't bother you, you wouldn't have replied. So the fact you debated this much shows you aren't as indifferent as you act, or you're just a snob and know-it-all that needs to get a last word in and try to act superior while giving advice.
And if you don't care, then don't talk. Why speak to someone, or ask about stuff you don't care about? That's just stupid and a waste of your time.

Ok. Well you jumped to conclusions. Try to avoid doing that. Of course you won't attract good attention if you make no effort. I don't go out looking like a just rolled out of bed, and I am looking for an apartment in a city now, since a small rural area is where old people should be. Now, I know many that found boyfriends and spouses here. but for me, that apparently won't happen, thus I need to leave. I exercise.
