I don't keep specific count, but at least 200 times. Probably closer to 300.
When I used to go to bars a lot, I could easily get shot down 10 times in one night. Count women I've hit on at school, weddings, house parties, cold approach. Then throw in my female friends who have rejected me and acquaintances. I may be underestimating.
I haven't even been that aggressive and I have never done online dating. If I was more aggressive, it could easily be closer to 500.
But whatever, people are right. Nobody cares.
You're a 40 year old virgin who has been rejected a 1000 times? Nobody cares.
It's your cross to bear so to speak.
You seem sad. I'm guessing the 40 year old virgin is referring to yourself if so why not try a prostitute as it seems the issue is virginity and rejection?

Not sad. Just being realistic.
Someone asked for the #, and that's the #.
To be honest, I'm not really surprised. If I was in my teens again and knew everything I know now (at age 40+), I'd still probably get rejected the same amount of times. My physical type is just not attractive to the vast majority of women. It is what it is.
But it's more about how you get rejected. That I could change. The path does matter. Not just the results.

Wow, that's weak.
I'd be a pretty miserable soul if I kept track in a journal or something about every woman I approached/hit on/asked out/whatever and didn't get anywhere. I don't see the damn point. I'd rather think of the recent successes, and more importantly, the next one.
In first grade I told a boy I liked him and asked if he liked me back. He said no. I threw my pudding at him.
:sobs:
That's hilarious!
