Hubby and I used to almost always shower together before kids - we worked at the same time, it saved water (well...sometimes, if we didn't get preoccupied ), and it was a fun, intimate way to connect in the morning. Happens less often now since we normally shower at different times of the day.
Some couples think it's an invasion of space, and I get that too. One friend of mine said, rather bluntly "I can't imagine washing my a$$ and cr&tch with him right there, and definitely can't let HIM do it", but for us that's just not a big deal. We (esp. me) do enjoy showers alone, too, esp. with life being busier these days, but our "rule" has always been, if we want a shower (or bath) alone, we just say so, otherwise, the other is always welcome to join.
So take my poll! For people in a relationship only, or you can answer for your most previous relationship.
We did. It's so uncomfy. The bath tub is small for us. LOL. So we have to take turns in front of shower. We originally did it to do the deed there but it's so uncomfy. We did 3 more times I think.
C. Sometimes I'll indulge him but I really hate it.
We have a small, stall shower in the master so body parts are usually bumping and rubbing against the wall and that grosses me out, and I can't shave my legs when he's in there, or wash my hair...etc because there isn't enough elbow room.
Showering together doesn't lead to getting clean, it leads to getting dirty!!
No we don't shower together due a water temp discrepancy, I like scalding hot which most can't tolerate, and he likes cold showers. We tried to find a middle temp and always failed.
Besides that we are both all for it.

My selection is "D," 'cause this sounds like my boyfriend.
We took a shower together once (yeah, once). It was lovely and romantic, or at least I thought so. As things were wrapping up, I grabbed a washcloth and gently cleaned him thoroughly, top to bottom.
He didn't appreciate my attention to detail. Now I jokingly ask him if he wants to shower together - he squirms awkwardly and then we laugh about it.

I'm not in a relationship right now, but that's always been my take on it. Maybe I'd think differently if I ever experienced one of those huge HGTV-type showers where there'd be room to move and you weren't always knocking over bottles or into the wall, but in a normal bathroom tub, showering together is way overrated (if were talking showering to get clean. And maybe not even then.)

Yup...my kids bathroom has a full tub/shower but they are at the age where they'd probably look at us like if we went in there together. lol

The fact our first home together had a huge shower (and bath) helped, that's for sure.
