Women at bars alone (single, friend, looking, personal)

I enjoy a good wine now and then but can never finish a bottle, in fact sometimes a glass is too much. Occasionally I would like a glass of wine in the evening and I don't always have a friend to go with me to a wine bar. I plan on going alone, taking a book and hanging out while I enjoy my wine.
This brought a question to mind- what do people in general think of a woman alone enjoying a glass of wine or a beer etc?

I don't care personally. But if sometimes a single glass is too much, I think you're going to get taken advantage of.......in general.

Oh I don't mean it's too much- just that a glass or less is about all I want- any more than that an it doesn't taste good anymore.

It makes me think of the Diane Keaton & Richard Gere movie from the 1970s, "Looking for Mr. Goodbar". That was a pretty dated movie. I don't think there's anything out of the ordinary about it, no more than stopping at Starbuck's by yourself.

Are wine bars turning into pick up joints now? The ones I've seen are a bit more like an upscale pub.

It's cheaper, quieter, and less trouble to drink at home. I would just wonder why she bothered. Nothing negative, though,
