I'm liberal but I'll confess that I love conservative guys. They are more manly in general than liberal guys. They tend to be more assertive and unapologetic. I'm talking moderate conservative here not bible thumpers or tea party types.

So you like morons who never believe they're wrong? That describes Rush Limbaugh to T and the moment you hear his show you'll likely be converted. I don't think you're really a liberal at all. I sometimes find conservative women physically attractive but would never have more than a sexual relationship with one.

I don't think she's going for the full mental pill popping nut cases like Rush Bimbo.

I think their political affiliations are a coincidence.

I know plenty of manly guys. Some conservative, some liberal.

I don't pay attention to their political status.

I think it's unnecessary.

I lean conservative but don't take it too seriously and am attracted to the same.

That's fine, nothing wrong with that, in fact I do agree they can be attractive, modern conservative means they are not fully conservative, it is only restricted to certain areas, then I would they are the best type of guys out there.

Ditto. My husband is an Iraq war veteran, has been in the military for over a dozen years, is rugged and outdoorsy, and anybody's definition of a manly man. He's also a socially and politically liberal, card-carrying Democrat. He's the one who broke down my assumption that I probably could never date anybody in the military, due to probable differences in political beliefs. We're actually more on the same page than I was with any guy I ever dated prior to meeting him, including crunchy granola types in college, etc.

My in laws are total opposites. The wife is much more forgiving than the husband who is a die hard anti liberal republican. They have a pretty bad relationship when it comes down to finding things to be together on.

Unless you are able to ignore the divide in thinking and values, it usually ends up in a bad place. It's not "just political" agendas at the end of the day.

It really depends on how extreme someone is with their beliefs tbth

"Manly" isn't defined by political thinking.
