Have you ever had an "at work girlfriend / boyfriend"? Essentially you are only together during work / lunch and maybe a few hours afterwards but moreless strictly never outside of that? I can't believe the experience I had meeting a girl, essentially I went head over heals while already being in the state of head over heals. I need to move forward but I'm just wondering what could realistically be possible.

What is your employers policy regarding relationships at work?

More disturbing to me is how many people are supposed to be WORKING, yet they're spending the day distracted, with their bits all tingly because "OMG the hot girl is walking by my desk!!!!!"

God, I hope you aren't a doctor. Or a nurse. Or air traffic controller. Or teacher. Or a cop. Or a nuclear engineer, mechanic, chef, or ... you get the idea.

Even if you're retail, this may explain why customer service is so indifferent these days.

Do your jobs, people!

lol I do good work. The company is very large so we wouldn't even cross paths at all if we didn't want to. I think the only policies that exist are harassment ones..

You really didn't give enough info about your actual relationship, and we can't possibly predict your options.

LOTS of people just flirt at work, even married people, because they feel it is a safe environment with boundaries, as in "can't happen outside the office."

Surely you've heard of a "work wife."

If you fell "head over heels," that's on you. You talked yourself into it, and you'll have to talk yourself out of it if she is not into you.

Regarding doctors and nurses... I have heard that a hospital can be a meat market.

With all those egos and emotions in play, I have no doubt.

Off topic...

Ok....

But....

Is it really a good idea for any employee who is in any type of relationship to flirt at work?

I know how you feel about this topic.

I'm not advocating it; it happens. That's not what the thread is about anyway.
