Hi,

A lady friend recently became upset and stormed out when I asked her to use the Women's Bathroom in my place. I dont like others using my bathroom and playing with my bidet. I have a woman's bathroom that is stocked with a hair dryer, women's soaps, and hygiene products.

Is it normal for a woman to become upset when asked not to use a man's bathroom?

So you're a little OCD. I think that's the deal breaker.

It's not normal for a man's bathroom to have a bidet. It's also not normal for someone to designate separate facilities by gender in one's home, and to enforce that separation.

you just let random people do number two in your bathroom? that's gross.

it's also nasty that most Americans don't wash their bum. is your kitchen floor clean if you dry wipe it?

It's not like I have a sign or anything.

I have lots of girls over and don't want them messing about in my bathroom.

it's for me. why be upset though? They have a bathroom with all the stuff they need.

What, do you leave remnants in your bowl or bidet that you don't want her to see?

If I was your friend, I would not want to put up with your behavior.

Sounds ridiculous, but if it means that much to you, you shouldn't be shocked by extreme responses to what others consider an odd tick.

I dated a guy with similar feelings. He did have OCD. If he hadn't had many other flaws, I could have overlooked the bathroom issue.

But it will help your relationships if you understand that this is unusual and some people may be bothered by it. They may interpret you to be saying that they are unclean, which no one really wants to hear.

No, I am quite clean.

I have 1x a week maid service and clean daily myself.

I just don't like communal space

Many of you are.

I think it' disgusting and ridiculous for Yanks not to wash with soap and water after doing their business.

Cleanliness is godliness.
