It's easier to be gay. People feel sorry for you then.

Straight, white and male?

You're SOL on everything.

But it's very difficult with guys. I've been on a dating site for over a year and there's nobody interested in my area. I have high standards about morals and stuff, so I don't want to hook up. But it seems like that's the only way to do things in the gay community. It almost makes me feel like it would be worthwhile to "pretend" to be straight so I could get some companionship.

So what could a traditional minded (mostly) gay guy do?
Quite honestly, I'm not sure this site is the best place to ask the question. There are a ton of resources out there to help people in the LGBT community. I'd suggest you look to find some local support or online support. I'm sure there are other gay people in your area who have gone through the same thing and could give you good advice.

Nice to see dating sucks in the gay world too.
