Tatoos and piercings are a sign of a troubled person. When I got tatooed in 1974, I was a pot head and extremely insecure. Thank God I only got one and lived, because Boyd, the ex-heroin addict who tatooed me, apparently thought a cabbage and a peony look the same.

The candor helps. Good post.

Most people who get tattoos are kind of subversive and counterculture. There are a lot of Gen-Y ers who view themselves as too traditional to go out and get one...and who don't want to be tainted with a label (ex-hippie, etc.) when their "era" has sunset.

I will admit that I don't fit in with the Yuppies or corporate idealogogy (sp) but that's me.

I am very surprised how shallow men can be! I find tattoos very sexy! I also know alot of business people who have tattoos that are very professional and don't have any issuses! I have a tattoo and plan on getting more and I don't think that I have any issues but I guess it might just be the voices in my head telling me that I have nothing wrong with me and to get more TATTOOS!

If you are going to not date a woman because she has a tattoo then she is better off without you because all you are going to do is hold her back from living her life. Heven forbid you don't date a "square"
