You don't know me and have no clue what you're talking about. I went through a bad divorce several years ago and a major recession. Thats why I didn't date much. Now that I've recovered from all of that, I'm stuck in a difficult city for dating.
Atlguy, I have been following your posts since you first posted in this forum back in February 2011. You have shared many things about yourself including your divorce and difficulties finding a job. The thread that ties all your posts together is one of a defeatist, negative attitude. I'm sorry you don't like my summation but that's the reality. I understand times have been tough for you and we quite often only post the depressing stuff on forums because they can be kind of cathartic. But if you are like this in real life you really need to look at how you are relating to women.

So, he's been going through a tough time for the last few years. He's not alone. And yes, he probably finds that it helps to write about it and get feedback from others. Totally normal.

Thanks. I'm not short, and apparently just barely make the female cut of 6'0". However, that doesn't seem to make much difference. If being a couple inches shorter would make it even more difficult to date, I just can't imagine how bad that would be. My issue, aside from being in an awful city is I'm not the kind of guy who's very outgoing and approaches random women. Add to that I'm a "nice guy", and its a losing situation. Anyway, to stay on topic here, I am not a fan of the hookup culture, and hate casual dating. I just want to be married with a family and be done with dating forever.
