Lust at first sight! I met a guy like that in Paris and spent the entire weekend with him. Still end up with a huge grin on my face when I think about it. Never caught his last name and never exchanged contact info.. Just had a wild weekend and that was that!

Is this what people call love at first sight? We did not even talk so how could it be love?
oh heck yes, i get those feelings all the time. its called lust, as some of the others have said.

I did when I was a gym rat. The guy was tall, dark, and handswome. I loved the way he'd spin his basketball. lol

A year or so later, I bumped into him while shopping. Found out he had kids, and was badmouthing how sucky it is to be a parent. Found out he was married. And, he was telling me all this?

Yeah- lust at first sight doesn't quite mesh well with what's 'ideal' or 'real.' People make up fantasies of their crushes without knowing them, place them on a pedestal, and lesson learned?

Crushes are just mere illusions of reality. Could be your hormones and the moon cycle coinciding, and you felt that sudden rush like OMG this man is...! When really he could just be: !

Reality-check is the word.

I was rushing to go out of town & had about a couple of minutes or so to leave. The opportunity & time was just not there. I would have loved to talk to him because that's how one can know a lot of things about a person: like his status, his character & a host of other things. Maybe if I did, I would feel the opposite of what I am currently feeling for him.

That's very true. It has been said many times that guys like that are in general worthless but there is also a 1 in a trillion chance he could be a decent person like I am, so it never hurts to talk. That's why I regretted not talking to him because I would have learned so much about him just by chatting briefly.

And no, I am not putting him on a pedestal, not at all. I will need a little bit of information about him to do that. Even then, only time will tell...
