I am not a big sports fan but Mr. CSD is a St Louis Cardinals Fan and has been for years so he talks about baseball and I hear things. Mr. CSD is on some stupid list from somewhere and he has been getting ESPN Magazine (we did not order it), anyway one of those magazines had Alex Rodriguez on the cover.
Currently I am shredding all of those magazines to put into the burning barrel.
Since Mr. CSD is a fan and I hear things I know most of the Alex Rodriguez issue but somehow it it was quite satisfying to see his face on the cover of that magazine go through the shredder, I just can't explain it.
If you look a publication info in the magazine there is usually a subscription count that contains free issues. I don't know if this is marketing or what. At one point last year I was receiving: ESPN, Golf Digest, Maxim, Architectural Digest, Maxim, Rolling Stone, and Inc. I paid for none of those and the only one I still get is Inc most likely because I read some of the articles on LinkedIn.

Almost the exact magazines he is getting and it is annoying.
I shredded everyone of those dang things yesterday and filled a 33 gallon trash bag with shredded magazines.
My grandma was always watching golden girls, and I'm pretty sure she had a crush on Matlock.
We didn't miss an episode of wheel of fortune for 4 years
That is better than the crush my Grandma had..............Jack LaLane.
The funny part of that is we would go to our Grandparents home after school and my Brother and I had to get our kitchen chairs and sit next to Grandma and watch Jack LaLane.
We never did any of the exercises but we never missed Jack LaLane.
It was a small price for us to pay because Dark Shadows came on right after Jack so it was worth the 30 minutes of watching Grandma pine for her crush...LOL
It is sleeting here and I hoped there was not going to be one last hurrah of winters chill, oh well.
I survived an ice storm on Easter Sunday in 1977 or 1978, I'm sure I'll survive this wee bit (currently) sleet.

Lol! My brother and I would do the same thing with my mother, but we would actually do them with her, lol! And, as I recall, we had our kitchen chairs, too, because a lot of the exercises required a chair for you to balance yourself against. Never heard my mom mention any crush, though.
Too funny, CSD. Thanks for the memory.
