My mom was raised Irish Catholic and my dad an Italian Catholic.

I remember going to Christmas dinner at my parents house and my grandfather would bless everyone with holy water at the dinner table. Literally dipping his fingers in the bowl and flicking it at you.

Husband is Lutheran. We don't practice either. I've found that organized religion just isn't for me.

I consider myself to very spiritual, but not into the typical organized religions........

I find that the organized religions completely miss the boat on what the greater bigger picture is...... too much into specific rituals that have nothing to do with actual spirituality.... just customs and shyt like that has nothing to do with the greater picture....

Irish Catholic...never would have guessed...I had 12 years of Catholic education...my kids had 8 years of it...none of us are "church going" Catholics...married a Jewish guy...kinda just try to do what's right...don't think anyone can forgive our sins...

So am I the only Hindu on this forum ? Sure does seem like it.

As for forgiving my sins, all I do is meditate to clear my mind off the toxins. It works really well, just 5 minutes per day makes a real difference. I do it for health reasons, and because its a part of my religion to begin every day with meditation.
