Last night I was called out for a fire... So, I am hauling water in a tender that had some back for repairs. Started smelling something hot. I turn off the highway onto a secondary road. I stop to see what the deal was. I jump out and smell a hot brake. Training for my paying job paid off. Found the offending brake. I was able get to my pickup and tools. The tech adjusted the brake to the point it wouldn't release.
Backed off the slack adjuster and returned the truck to the station. All of this after being woke up at 11:30 at night.
I started my job this week. It's going well, but I am exhausted! I had to work for about 5 hours today. I went from working maybe 30 hours a week at my temp job(s) back to a 40+ schedule. My days as a trophy wife are over. LOL

He likes big trucks and he cannot lie,
those firefighters can't deny,
that when a rig pulls in with a cab and tank,
and the light bars flashing in your face
You get sprung. Wanna pull out your tongue,
'cause you noticed that truck was stuffed......
