Then I shook him hard again and said his name this time he looked at me like "What? I was sleeping".

Scared the bejeebers out of me
This sounds very much like one of those sad stories I've read, only that its real. CSD, I have to honor your mind's courage to see this and be able to continue life as normal. I'd basically be bordering depression if someone close to me went through the same issue.

I learned a very very long time ago that things happen that one cannot control and you have to

ADA:
Accept what has happened
Deal with the situation as presented
Adapt to the changes and move forward

I am just glad I was able to get Walter awake and back from wherever he was going but it did give me quite the scare.

Didn't you both see the neon flashing sign in the lobby?

NO PIGEONS
NO RATS (flying or otherwise)

Minx: do you have a license for that slingshot? Is it even pigeon season?

Me and my brother want to plan something exquisite for my parents 25th. Any good suggestions.

How did you read my mind so well . An alaskan cruise is what I had in mind.

Mom is quite conservative and does not like tropical cruises where women stroll around in bikini's.

Congratulations to your parents on their 23rd milestone together and I did not realize you have a brother.
Any other siblings?

A cruise sounds great if they like that sort of thing, myself I would prefer driving but I don't voluntarily put myself in water deeper than my shower.
