Just trying to get a girls opinion as to rather they'd prefer an extremely skinny marathon runner or a chubbier guy who doesn't work out.

Gotta love the constant barrage of extreme examples here.

There's a lot of ground in between those two things. How about a guy who works out and tries to eat right for the most part, but occasionally has a big burger and fries? That's my choice. Neither of the men in your examples fit my lifestyle. I like someone who likes to be active, but a super skinny marathon runner would be too extreme for me. On the other hand, the chubby guy who doesn't work out would annoy me because he wouldn't be able to keep up with me on hikes, etc.

I have a feeling most of your answers are going to fall somewhere in the middle.

I'm a health nut so I'd probably have more in common with the runner. Having said that, I married a man who loves pizza and hates working out. By some unfair gift of nature, he has been blessed with an incredibly strong and attractive body, but that is not why I married him. I do love looking at him from behind, I have to say.

The marathon runner.
Not just bc of the physique.
But bc of the mentality and discipline required to be a marathoner.

For me it does not matter. I don't look for how they look like. For me Loving some one is dealing with an imperfect person in a perfect way. So for me those questions are nonsense.

I have dated a distance runner. They have muscle tone ... and endurance.

I don't want someone who's skin and bones and looks like he's starving, but a lean and healthy appearance is ok. A few extra pounds is ok sometimes, but I'm generally not into chubbiness.

Either way, I can't really answer this question without seeing photos.

I have never been interested in skinny guys, whether they work out or not. That said, I cannot stand your typical gym rat. All they talk about is nutrition and working out and bulking and what-not, and I have other interests than that. Sure, I appreciate the fact that they take care of themselves, but I do not appreciate them looking at me downing a steak while they eat a salad like a girl. Just man up, dude. JMHO.

Yes, I am a chunky now, but even in my 5'7" 120lb years I couldn't deal with it.
