Gotta love the constant barrage of extreme examples here.
There's a lot of ground in between those two things. How about a guy who works out and tries to eat right for the most part, but occasionally has a big burger and fries? That's my choice. Neither of the men in your examples fit my lifestyle. I like someone who likes to be active, but a super skinny marathon runner would be too extreme for me. On the other hand, the chubby guy who doesn't work out would annoy me because he wouldn't be able to keep up with me on hikes, etc.
I have a feeling most of your answers are going to fall somewhere in the middle.

The thing that kills me is, he keeps on asking these kinds of ridiculous questions and goes right on ignoring any good advice or answers he gets
I'm 5'11" and 176 with 16.8 % body fat. Is that anywhere close to a marathon runner build.
I'm not a runner (HATE RUNNING) and lift weights for an excercise. Hiking and shoveling snow is my hobby. I also don't have a car and walk or take the bus to most places.
A marathon runner would be toned, not skinny as we think of it. A chubby guy who sits around would likely an obese lazy slob. No, I would not date the fatman.
I don't consider a person's size a determining factor of their ambition. I know a lot of extremely lazy skinny "slobs" (as one person called them), a lot of hard-working chubby people and varying degrees of both.
I would choose the chubby guy, simply because I am more attracted to a man with . . . ahem . . . meat on his bones.
Familiar with Seth, but wanted to double-check him. I'll still take him over really skinny. Just looks sickening, and while laying in bed, cuddling, I don't want to be holding bones lol.

I get the impression that the chubby guy in this scenario is pretty much sedentary.
My man is not skinny by any means, but he's built lean. He's a bicyclist and used to be a bike messenger, so he has muscular legs and an amazing butt. Plus, he does a lot of heavy lifting for his job, so he has some nice bis and tris. But he'll murder a Wawa hoagie or a burrito in a second. To me that's the best of both worlds.
Side note: Seth Rogen looks like he smells like farts, like all the time.
