Truth be told, when first reading the OP I felt a twinge of annoyance.

But really at the end of the day, each person has their own preferences and I don't go around with a 3 day stubble anyway, so I shouldn't get my feathers ruffled.

I think that the OP was trying to say is that when on a first date it's best to put your best foot forward and to her that meant no neck beards......

"Best foot forward" is different for each person. Maybe the guy feels that he looks better with some stubble, or more confident than without any facial hair at all.

I haaaate not having facial hair. Hate it! Hate how my face feels without it, and it's a very rare day that someone looks at my face with no hair.

I'm not angry with the OP either, but she's definitely being super judgmental at just looking at some damn stubble. To me, that's just stupid.

Sure. I understand that, and there's nothing wrong with it.

But her snotty, judgemental comments are what did it for me.

Yea I have a neckbeard, which expands past the adams apple, worst place to shave, IMO.
