what did your parents do that you swore you would NEVER do?

this thread has been a blast, to read! I see my parents, in some of the posts, and I see me, in other posts......
my kids used to always tell me, I looked/acted just like Grandma....these days, I look in the mirror, and my mother looks back at me!

Stay together for the kids. I would NEVER do it and wish my parents didn't either. What a miserable childhood I had. And guess what?? They are STILL together and even more miserable. Pathetic!!

I don't like my parents (selfish bastards, my mother even toxic) but if I could I would lead the enchanted life (*and I mince my words*) they had in the 50's, 60's, 70's (and my father still today probably with all his dough).
They bedded I surmise both the equivalent of a small US city! (no AIDS epidemic in those times).

I swore I would never buy my kids shoes at a Grocery store....YES, a GROCERY store...lol.

I will never discourage my child from a career route he/she may want to take. My mother discouraged me from a career path that I still regret not taking.

2. I said that I would always let my kids go with me to the store. "I changed my mind"

3. I will not make my children go to church 5 days a week. "We only go twice"

4. I will never become or marry a preacher. PK Life sucks...LOL
