At 16, I knew who I wanted to marry. At 18, I started my journey and I allow my HS sweetheart to walk away. Went to a college I never wanted to go in the first place just to meet up with this girl. At 19, I asked this girl out. At 24 I married her. Was it worth it? Hell Fracking yeah! Still together after 20 yrs. Best decision I ever made.
A very masculine, manly man from my past wrote me the most tender, beautiful poem. In it, he compared me to a Rolls Royce and while that man is no longer in my life, I still have the poem!
That same man, drove 10 hours (5 hours each direction) to spend a few hours with me before I flight I was catching the next morning.
Both those grand gestures swept me off my feet.

Reason: grammar
I had a guy I met online drive well over 5 hours to meet me. There was no attraction on my part so I got him some Burger King and sent him home. (He spooked me enough that I wanted to spend as little time as possible with him.)
Same guy kept writing songs for me afterwards.
My husband "wined and dined me." His first date with me was cheap (and easy ), but the rest got increasingly more expensive as time went by.
Want to hear something pathetic? I was madly in love with this school teacher 25 years ago and believed the feelings mutual. She did the right things, said the right things and for the first time in my life I felt content, truly content. This love fool idiot went out and maxed out all his credit cards and bought a $20k dollar diamond ring that he carried around with him at all times as he knew that she was the one. Stupid, huh?
