I have met a lot of women through friends. Do a lot of people here like not have any friends to hook them up? "Hey I got this single girl at my work..." etc.
I met the guy I'm seeing through friends. I prefer it to online, it means I know exactly who he is and I already know the type of people he hangs out with.
Most of my friends are married and only have married friends.
I seem to be the only one that has not found the life long guy and always end up with the temporary guys.
I have one single guy friend. We went to high school together. Lost contact, met again a month ago. He has a girlfriend or someone he spends time with, yet he texts me at least once a day. No idea what that is all about.
it seems it would go better if the person asked their friend something like "hey friend, that guy/girl you work with is cute can you introduce us"
friends shouldnt proactively try to hook people up... some like to think of themselves as matchmakers though for some reason
I have a situation going on similar to this right now. We first met each other around February of this year, but my buddy has tried to get us to meet for over a year. Conflicting work schedules involving all 3 parties tend to make points of communication difficult. He was able to get her one on one last week and gave her my name and number and if she wanted she could contact me. Well, she contacted me and we have been chatting. We could have met sooner, but I was either seeing someone or interested in someone and I think she was at the time too. Timing is very crucial in these scenarios.
Hasn't worked for me. Most of the time when friends told me someone "liked" me, it was not the case.
