The opposite can really bug/worry me sometimes. When someone drives verrrry slowly, not aware of cars piling up behind them, taking forever to get out of the road and turn into a parking lot, just in their own little world, it feels very unsafe to me.
Yeah, I hate those guys too. Usually, its someone yapping away .
I can't even imagine how women can drive safely. I've been passenger to over dozens of women and I can never trust their driving. Most women get distracted way too easily, some must check their phones constantly or checking their make up or hair. They don't ever look in the rear view mirror to see who is behind them.
A few girls have scared the crap out of me when they made dangerous turns on the road without signaling and just complete lack of common sense on the road.
My mother who does drive seriously but is always afraid when she's out driving so she always tells me to drive.
This is not sexist but it is what I've experienced so I'm always the designated driver.

Unless he's had something to drink or doesn't feel like driving, he drives-- he'll even try to insist on it when we are in my car, which I don't always put up with. We rarely take my car.
This is an actuality. Some of both sexes are addicted to their phones. Valid point to defer driving responsibility for safety reasons. Thank you for sharing.

Oh good grief. I've been driving for over 30 years, I've never gotten a ticket, and I've been in 2 accidents. In both cases, a MAN hit me and was 100% at fault. In one case, HE ran a stop sign and tboned me. In the other, HE was driving towards me and made a left hand turn in front of me, destroying my front end. Both times, the vehicles were totaled, but luckily I was OK long term after medical treatments. Let's just say chiropractors are wonderful!
I never check my phone in the car (I do have bluetooth, so if it rings, I can either reject or answer from the steering wheel). I usually reject. I do not wear makeup, and my hair is in a pony.

Same here, been driving for over 30 years, the only time I had an accident was when a guy made a left in front of me, totaling my BF's car, and he was found at fault.
The last very-close call I had was when a guy would have totally taken me out while changing into my lane, didn't appear to see me, and I could see in his rear-view that his eyes were down toward his lap, texting, no doubt.
I have a cell phone for convenience only, don't spend any time chatting away on it, and ignore it ringing during any type of interaction with other people and especially when I'm driving. Exactly when did everyone agree to be on-call at all times, anyway? lol
If the woman really hates to drive I have no problem with the man always driving.
I have also seen men drive to work, get out and then the wife scoots over and takes the car. That makes me wonder about the man and what doubts he may have. Are they ashamed to have someone see their wife drop them off?
The man always driving has gone the way of the man always paying, being sole provider, and all the other things I thought we have moved past.
