Abusive relationship...we took those because we think we cannot do better. It's a lie.

It seems some kind of "pathological" issue is running into that family, that behavior, is not normal. Hitting a woman for her cooking? Come on...

I will state the same as almost everybody OP get out. You will gain nothin' perhaps you will think you cannot do better on your own, but isn't. Don't believe that lie.

Norah12. You should love yourself. Do you know how many women have died at the hands of the man they loved? It bothers me that you casually mention getting slapped. His family also seems abusive. Nothing gets better, it only gets worse. Get out and for heavens sake don't put yourself in a position to marry and/or have children with this dude. Seek counseling.
