Actually...the whole "therapist said to do this" sounds contrived.

She didn't mean serious modeling, she meant like a light hearted modeling. She even said that modeling can be fun, but can also be detrimental. She said she knew a place where it was all about having fun and not being serious, and it wasn't serious. So, she referred me to the place, and honestly it was awesome! I had makeup artists, or I can wear my own makeup, people were very complimentary. It was cool! But even after the photos were taken I was still critiquing, and self conscious of the pics, even though I was told over and over, how they are wonderful and all of that, but that is why I do it off and on because I like it, but then I don't.

I think if you have self-esteem / self-worth issues, you will never overcome them if you invest so much of yourself into people who confirm your (perceived) "lack of worth". You act mean or crazy and push people into disliking you because there is a part of you that dislikes yourself. There is no point in trying to win over this guy as a way to validate yourself now. Just let it go, focus on yourself, bc your internal conflict will only create & perpetuate more conflict wiith the people around you..
