It happens. As long as they're not gross about it, I just take it as a compliment. I'm 40. It's not going to happen forever.

So only go to the comic book store with my husband. Sounds fair. That bookstore is in South Lamar blvd.
The comic book store is the only "nice place" you can think of?

You said this happens everywhere. Is there a better grocery you could frequent, for example? Nicer shopping venues of various types?

Do you live in a smallish town?

Maybe you just need to work on your "I'm not interested" look.

What do you say to these guys?

Telling them you're married is useless. It clearly isn't a deterrent.

Why not just tell them you are not interested and to leave you alone?

I suspect you may be too approachable-looking.

Maybe you ought to eat more and buy some PJs; that or just take these gestures as a compliment and be inwardly grateful.

Default Random dudes hitting on me

I'm a vet on these forums, but I need to vent regarding a very bothersome event.

I have random dudes hitting on me when I go out to run errands...with my son!!
Some people seem to not have any respect. Who would even dare to hit on a woman when she's out running errands with her toddler boy?! Are people THAT desperate?

I have a husband, so I have someone taking care of my needs.

If indeed, you're blatantly being hit on (not to be confused with friendliness) its pretty bold and desperate. A typical guy will see the toddler as a deterrent.

Well, I guess all the C-D guys who say single moms are the bottom of the dating barrel are wrong.

Well if you're hot men are gonna hit on you. That's life. Don't like it? Put on a grimace and men will leave you alone.

I had a guy coming to me asking me if I had a boyfriend. Then I had another one (Indian or ME, probably) telling me he'd marry me and would provide for me and my son. He said he worked as a software developer.

Of course they are. My mom remarried. Tons of my girlfriends with kids remarried.
