relationship or not, if i get the cold shoulder from someone every time i see them, they can not comeback later and suddenly expect me to be friendly to them. sorry but it cuts both ways.

Some people are just nice. I've also found that some people are very friendly one on one, but in a crowd (3s a crowd, remember) they are quieter and have trouble being as friendly in conversation.

I work with someone like that. She's very friendly, almost borderline flirty if I didn't know better, when she and I are working on a project together, but in a meeting or group setting, she's much quieter and more stoic.

And no, I don't think she actually IS flirting, she's that way with other people too when it's just her and them.
