Crazy,
My wife was a tad jealous of the girl I was with before her. She never knew her. Had never so much as seen her in a photo. I never discussed her unless she brought it up.
So....i'm stupid for not seeing that it could potentially be a problem. LOL
...and...it's pretty much solved except for her bringing it up whenever we get into an arguement. It's like a wild card she can throw out there at any time whenever she's on the defensive.
I didn't cheat....not even emotionally.
Sure you weren't getting something out of this?
Didn't think your wife would get jealous?
I bet secretly, you liked the idea of another woman interested in you and your wife being jealous.
It's a shame that spouses can get so jealous of their s/o having an innocent platonic friendship with the opposite sex. I still have several good male friends and my boyfriend isn't jealous of them.

Mix in "husband" with "kids" and things to do at home and it is a whole other story...
What if that spin class instructor had been a guy or he had been building that bike for a neighbor's kid? This is a trust issue not his wife claiming all of his non-working hours time. Well if getting married and having kids meant giving up my friendships with the opposite sex, then I would never get married. And the guys that I have dated have had special skills and I never minded sharing their talents or showing them off to other women. I've also trusted my men to not stray from me and they never did.

I agree it is a shame. I am married with kids and I have no problems with the story drjones told and would not have a problem with my husband doing the same. (that is if everything was told here and nothing was left out )
umm......here's a thought....why don't you go biking with a male friend? maybe your wife would not be worried anymore....cause you saidyou were seeking friends...so why not a guy friend?

I just don't feel that a boyfriend or husband is a possession. And I am one of those people that would rather be proactive and keep my relationship healthy and full of love and trust, and be feeling good that my man is faithful to me by his own free will. And him being in the company of other women is okay and knowing that he still prefers me over them is a great confidence booster. And other women flirting with him makes him feel good too.
We usually pay our cable bill in person. Last year, while paying the cable bill by myself the customer service lady commented to me that she thought my boyfriend was good looking. When I got home, I teased him a little about that.
According to surveys, spouses cheat because they aren't getting enough positive feedback at home. And the person they cheat with is making them feel good about themselves. Also, restricting their access to the opposite sex seems unfair as you're basically telling them that they can't be friends with half the human population.
