i don't know why I overreacted. I just thought it was a bit strange that she was going to that film with her friends instead of partying, but oh well. They could have gone for drinks or something. I am not a fan of films like that and tried to dissuade her from seeing it.
I guess she's a party girl? I still don't see what's strange about going to a movie. People see movies all the time. If they didn't, the movie industry would have died out a long time ago. I don't think seeing a movie is any weirder than going out to eat or talking on the phone or breathing.
And the film isn't targeted for you so I can understand why you wouldn't be interested in seeing it - but why would you try to dissuade her from seeing it?
What are you worried about? You don't have to spend a dime, and she will be warmed up for you after the movie. The fact you tried to dissuade her from seeing a movie, is pretty weird. Guess if she came back horny, with her two friends wanting to get it on, you would dissuade that?
I read a sample chapter downloaded to my Kindle, and it looked to me like a 12 year-old read 9 1/2 weeks and then wrote a book about it. Big font and all.
They HAVE to do it! At least something good would come of the whole mess.

I'll probably watch it on video because... Jamie Dornan.
That's it. In fact, I find Dakota Johnson's casting to be odd.
.
The sad thing is that every review I've read of the movie has said that he's terrible and she's surprisingly good. Maybe it's better just to rewatch The Fall.
I don't get the big deal about that movie. It's not like all these housewives or girlfriends are all of the sudden going to be running into the world of BDSM looking for a master. Besides its a horrible movie.

What IS weird is how you keep referring to your relationship with her as casual - you mean nothing but an occasional good time to one another - yet you wonder if its weird she is going with 2 other friends. You are casual, and therefore its not up to either one of you to make judgements on what who is doing what with whom when you are not part of the occasion. Could it be you would like to be exclusive? Hmmm...?
Btw, from a disinterested point of view - no! The act of going with someone else is not weird at all. Girlfriends will go buy underwear together too sometimes. "These are cute, Kate, and the copper color will go great with your eyes and skintone." Women can do that without feeling strange most times, lol.
Men do it too. Hugging and patting each other on the but sometimes. Millions of women hope their man can watch the Superbowl with his buddies and not feel the overwhelming urge to take it any further than hugs, high fives, and sometimes patting each other on the but.
If you want something more than casual, ask for it. Otherwise, mind your business.

You're not a fan of films like that...so you dissuade other people from seeing it? Controlling much?
Production cost $40 million, Box Office result $80 million.
