I never cared for any type of piercing but the other day I ran into the Pixie chick from LA Ink who has the piercings in her dimples and she looks HOT!!! She has what I usually despise on women - tattoos, piercings, foul language, but she is really a beautiful girl. Much much prettier than on the TV show. I was blown away.

I think they look cute on a female body and I actually really like them.
I think a small ring is cool, I've seen some with chains and charms hanging down, I get a terrible urge to yank them out, I'm not sure why.

LOL, yes, that's one reason why these girls get them - retribution!

What's next? A bone through the nostrils? Lip removal? Skull piercing?
Just out of curiosity (since you brought it up), what's so wrong with someone having a "frivolous side"?

As for "what in the hell is going on with this country", I can just answer for myself, and I will say that I enjoy having my tattoo and my piercings. And, I get even more of a kick out of blowing people's minds when I tell them that I have them or they see them. It's one of those things you'd never know or assume just by looking at me in my everyday life.

But, that's the issue that I LOVE about all of this. People judging others when they have absolutely no clue. I see it every single day, and in these sorts of non-important cases, it never ceases to make me chuckle.

I take absolutely no offense to you or anyone else making judgments about me because of my body mods. If I lived my life so worried about what strangers thought about me, I'd never make it out my door.

I haven't read the whole thread, but to put a different slant on this type of piercing, there was a case of a British girl travelling in Germany a few months ago.

She was involved in a car crash and the tightening of the seat belt propelled her piercing into her body just as it were a bullet. She nearly died from this.

Freak accident maybe, but if she hadn't had one...

Do you have a link to a news story about this? It sounds like an urban legend to me. Even with the force of a violent car crash, it seems quite implausible that something that starts on the surface of the body would be propelled into the body with the force of a bullet.

Thanks for the link. Very interesting. Must have been some sort of freak situation for that to happen though.
