Any experiences with this?

Ever read something too professional/articulate to be true or the profile didn't match the person in real life?

Or worse, ever have your own stuff lifted?

I have a friend who online dates and recently found two full copy/pastes after a google search for key witty sentences. Not that he cares that much since the offenders are many miles away. I however did OLD a decade ago and received an email one day to stop plagiarizing. Some dude but a few towns away pretty much ripped my whole profile. I mean cmon, common sense would tell the guy the same pool of women are going to read both our profiles. I think because he went beyond and wrote more fluff, I looked like the copier but my material was the brilliant, humorous meat of it, word for word!

A lot of the dating profiles say the same thing. Match is notorious for this.

The insanity of the people on this board never ceases to amaze me.

Who cares if someone plagiarized your OLD profile? You aren't Shakespeare. Get over yourself.

Quick, send out the intellectual property attorneys. The only solution is to copyright those highly original OLD intros.

Something like this at the end of each online dating profile intro.
