How real life differs from the movies (women, sex, romantic)

In another thread, ocnjgirl made reference to being woken up in the middle of the night for sex, and how it isn't like the movies where you wake and simply roll over to have sex. She'd need to pee, want to brush her teeth and freshen up first.
It got me to thinking about romantic scenarios where the fantasy and reality don't line up.
Sitting in a hot tub, after a few minutes, my face gets red, I start to sweat, my hair goes limp, damp, starts to curl and gets stuck to my forehead. Not as pretty as merely sipping champagne by candlelight in the bubbles.
In the movies, the women all go to sleep with a full face of makeup and wake up with nary a smudge.
And even when they aren't wearing makeup - they really are.
