That's awful news. Feel for the family of the murdered individual. Feel for the family of the idiot too, but probably not as much as the innocent one. This will be a story I follow as the details emerge, that's for sure. Hits way too close to home - I've walked around that campus a lot. Dated quite a few UCLA students over the years, as well as a department head. Still have some close friends who teach there as well.

As a teen, 'going out' meant a trip to Westwood. We couldn't really go out to anyplace where alcohol was served, so instead we hung out at night in Westwood. It was the closest 'walkable' cool place. Great theaters, restaurants, throngs of people, such a blast. Never would have guessed the next campus murder would be at UCLA.

Yeah I just had a Google and it looks nice
I've heard of UCLA ( not sure either on here or telly ) but I know what you mean in the west end of London ( Oxford street ) there was a club that we used to go to during the week and get smashed and yes there's a few nutters around but never ever any trouble and we loved it...... A few years ago someone got killed ( stabbed ) and they got closed down
It's a shame of course but again it's too close for comfort

I've driven by UCLA a million times, never been on campus though. We live more in the southern part of LA county, right next door to Orange county.
Those that know this area probably know what exact city I'm talking about.
I just read that the shooter was an engineering student who was angry about the grade he got from his professor (the victim). They haven't mentioned this on the network news coverage about this but they did interview friends of the victim in the El Segundo park where the victim used to supervise Little League.
Just so sad. Still no word on who the shooter was.
I really do have an inappropriate sense of humor at times, I found this to be good stuff here.
