I love it, I miss it. They've since built some homes on that property and the whole area is built up a lot now.
That's one of the things I dislike most about where I live: there's almost no where to go and be completely alone. Millions of people, and they all want to make small talk. I did find a little spot in the "woods" behind our building, but what I really miss is being able to go fishing in complete solitude, or a bike ride without lines of cars zipping by.

I need to get out for a while, so I'm looking forward to toddler-sitting later this afternoon. I have been going to work and staying with MG for about 10 days now. I haven't even stopped by my house in 3 days. His family will be visiting, so it will be good for him to see someone beside me. LOL

I spent $400 on my car for them to fix the noise (they replaced the springs), but the noise remains. I stopped by to have someone ride in the car with me, but it was the end of the day and there "wasn't anyone available". I'm not sure when someone will be, because I can only do it before or after work. Looks like I need to look - again - for a different mechanic.

The shooter had alliance to Isis. It was on a 911 call.

Really sad it happened.

Horrible awful situation.

I can never for the life of me understand how someone can be so f ing warped and sick and completely twisted in the way their sick little brains work. How can you say "God is great" as you are murdering innocent people.

How does the human brain associate the supposed "goodness" of god whilst committing the most heinous of acts upon completely innocent people??

It is not the embodiment of what faith is supposed to be.

Harper Lee summed it up beautifully and to the point “Sometimes the Bible in the hand of one man is worse than a whisky bottle in the hand of (another)... There are just some kind of men who - who're so busy worrying about the next world they've never learned to live in this one, and you can look down the street and see the results.”

I understand this wasn't a Bible toter. However, using religion to justify this sort of thing is wrong. It isn't the right application of it.
