As we've mentioned, we're in a condo. Our balcony gets almost no sun. I've tried planting some herbs in little pots on the windowsill in our bedroom. Every day at a certain time I would have to go in there and move them to make sure they got some sun, lol. They kind of sprouted but suffered early demises.

Luckily, we have a green-thumb neighbor who takes care of us with fresh herbs in the summer. I usually try to make something with what she gives us and then give some of it to her.
I don't know what to suggest to you ...unless you have a flat roof that is easy to get up on...

Oh, no, I wasn't looking for suggestions. It's pretty hopeless here.

I would love to do a French concept of a kitchen garden. I'd love to do homegrown vegetables and something used most of the growing season.

I'm going to que up some Dwight...... there are two people that I think of every time I play Dwight Yoakam..... I used to work with a dude back in the mid 90's and he used to play Dwight all the time and I couldn't stand it... I used to literally roll my eyes... specially when he'd play the Streets of Bakersfield.... LOL...

Funny stuff cause now when I think of Dwight I think of that guy I used to work with and now SD.......

It's weird how things come back around.... I never would have in a million yrs figured I'd be playing Dwight Yoakam on purpose and for pleasure......

Time has a way of changing things......

Sort of like the song... "Things Change"

My mom planted asparagus in my garden last year. They came up, but I forgot to do anything about them. Now they look like 4 ft tall Christmas trees. lol

Or....is that the way I'm supposed to do it? They were pretty dinky. Do they have to be a few years old before you harvest them?
